I offer experienced, thorough and rapid service at a cost of £35 per hour. The total cost depends on how long your text is and the amount of correction required.
What are your qualifications?
The most important is 2000+ happy PhD and Masters degree graduates whose theses I have proofread - click hereto see what some of them say. I have over 35 years experienceof proofreading Cambridge degree work and I studied at Cambridge myself. I know the Cambridge system. For more about my qualifications click here.
I'm going to miss my deadline, can you manage a really fast turnaround time?
I will work outside normal working hours to help meet your deadline. In these emergencies I offer weekend and overnight services. These attract a 50% higher charge.
Will you give my work to someone else for proofreading?
No, this is a personal service - that way you know your work will get the best attention.
When should I contact you?
once a final draft is complete I of course offer detailed proofreading of your work - but
I'm also available for advice from the early drafting stages and
I welcome seeing your work section by section as it is written.
Can we meet face-to-face?
Yes of course. I welcome direct contact at 11 Willow Walk Cambridge as a most efficient way of attending to the English in your work.
How frequently should we meet?
As often as you need (though it is equally possible to communicate by email and telephone - many of my clients are not in Cambridge).
Will you correct the content of my work?
That's the job of your supervisor. Any proofreader who offers to write your thesis for you could cost you your thesis.
Remember that many universities including Cambridge have strict guidelines about what may be changed by proofreaders. Make sure you comply with this guidance.
